My dad just left after a three week stay with us. The kids are missing him a lot, and so am I. Being away from family, especially with aging parents, is the biggest sacrifice of expatriation . I may have had nearly 12 years of practice, it gets harder everyday. This weekend, all I want to do is stay in bed and snuggle with the kids (sometimes I miss winter and being able to bury ourselves in fluffy blankets).
What a dream destination.
I can’t seem to find the time to read lately, Emma’s sleep is all over the place (ok perhaps binge watching the first season of Stranger Things isn’t helping either) but there is one book I keep coming back to. It’s a collection of interviews by Hans Ulrich Obrist (a curator a London Serpentine Gallery), with scientists, artists, architects, writers, thinkers… Every interview is a few pages long, making it easy to read in intervals.
Wow, never thought a sleepover would require this much thinking!
These earrings are on my wish-list (very subtle hint to husband ;))
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
