As you may have seen on my Instagram, we took a short trip to Singapore at the end of 2016, together with my mother in law. The brief wasn’t simple: taking full advantage of what Singapore has to offer, while trying to please everyone (kids can’t focus for very long, mother in law can’t stand the heat) and account for afternoon naps.
But I think we managed to tick all the boxes! We planned one outing every morning and kept the rest of the day open, mostly chilling at home, and I can safely say that everyone enjoyed the trip.
Here is what we did:
- Day 1- S.E.A. Aquarium at Sentosa (details here)
- Day 2- World Future exhibition at the Art Science Museum (details here)
- Day 3 – The Far East Organization’s Garden + Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay The Cloud Forest (details here and here)
- Day 4 – Walk in the MacRitchie reservoir
We booked our stay through Airbnb this time: a nice house in a quiet residential neighborhood that belongs to a family with young children (they were on holiday when we stayed). That meant we had lots of space, a backyard, many toys and their housekeeper offered to cook for us. It was really the ideal set up.
There’s still a lot of places I wish we could have visited but that just means we’ll go back 🙂
