Escaping Jakarta for the weekend: BSP Farm (Bogor)

BSP-Farm-Bogor-Team-Curious

As you may have noticed, we’ve been quite committed to finding places to get away from Jakarta! We have great memories from every trip, but our favourite so far is BSP Farm.

What we love

It’s simple

BSP Farm is first and foremost a farm where organic vegetables and fruits are grown. They offer homestays for those looking to get close to nature but their main business activity remains agriculture.

No one here is trying to get Instagram likes, the accommodations are simple, it feels authentic and non-commercial.

And brings us closer to nature

The main house is in the middle of the farm, away from any big road and between two mountains. It is very quiet and the view is amazing.

Kids have a lot of space to explore, pick fresh fruits, catch live scorpions (!!!).

The house itself is also very spacious and even as a large group of friends, each of us had his/her own space to read, nap, wonder.

The walk around the farm is beautiful, and for those who don’t mind a bit of exercise, the hike to the waterfall is really worth it (kids can do it, takes half day to get there and come back).

We can book the whole house with a few other friends

Kids were free to do their own thing without bothering other guests (and same for us adults:))

What you should know

  • The food is home-style Indonesian fare but if this isn’t your thing, you can bring your own food (there is a fridge and the staff can also set up a stove)
  • The walls are paper thin
  • Getting there is easy, about 2-3h on Friday evening
  • There is also a separate camp site where the staff can set up tents
