Perhaps you know St Ali from Melbourne where it apparently ranks among the best coffee places of the city. Why they would pick Jakarta for their first expansion outside of Melbourne is really puzzling but I am so very glad they did. Coffee enthusiasts love this place but I’m not much of a coffee drinker and come for their delicious breakfast and brunch. The menu caters both to the health conscious (avocado toast and the likes) and the ones looking for a hangover cure (burgers and deep fried food). The food is delicious, service is friendly and efficient and all of that is packaged in a perfectly Instagramable interior.
While St Ali is located at the ground floor of an office building, it opens towards a courtyard with a fountain and trees. This place is totally doable with small kids and we come almost every weekend for late breakfast (better come before 11 as it gets busy and hot after that, babychairs available).
