There is plenty to see at the Gardens by the Bay but we wanted to avoid the heat and chose to visit the Cloud Forest, where the temperature is controlled (23-25°C). The kids were not particularly enthused by this visit, especially after all the excitement of the Far East Organization’s Garden (more details here). But we (adults) loved it and took about 30-40min to walk around the garden.
The Cloud Forest is an indoor plant conservatory featuring an impressive 35-metre-tall mountain covered in lush vegetation, shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.
The tree-top walking feature with suspended platforms allows visitors to walk through the 6 levels of the dome while enjoying spectacular views of the city.
It is stroller friendly but this is a popular attraction and there can be queues to take the lift.
Prebook your tickets online (there are long queues on weekends and holidays) and pack light sweaters (23 degrees does feel cool).
