Jakarta’s coffee and restaurant scene is really booming, it’s hard to keep up with all the new places that open up.
Lucky Cat opened about 6 months ago and my husband was the first person to tell me about: “I saw a nice coffee place in Plaza Festival, you should check it out”. Another coffee place in a mall? I wasn’t sold but I went nonetheless and what a surprise!
Lucky Cat is at the back of Plaza Festival, but it has plenty of daylight and the space feel airy and bright. The food is mix of hit and miss (skip the Nasi Lemak Malaca, go for the Mushroom and Avocado on Toast) but it is still a nice option for coffee and lunch.
If you decide to go, make a stop at Epicentrum Walk across the street, where you will find a small stall selling very cheap second hand English books for children (more details here).
Opens 7 days a week, 24 hours (!)
