Perhaps you know St Ali from Melbourne where it apparently ranks among the best coffee places of the city. Why they would pick Jakarta for their first expansion outside of Melbourne is really puzzling but I am so very glad they did. Coffee enthusiasts love this place but I’m not much of a coffee drinker and come for the food. The menu caters both to the health conscious (avocado toast and the likes) and the ones looking for a hangover cure (burgers and deep fried food). The food is delicious, service is friendly and efficient and all of that is packaged in a perfectly Instagramable interior.
While St Ali is located at the ground floor of an office building, it opens up to a courtyard with a fountain and trees. It is best to come before 11 as it tends to get busy and hot after that.
