Modern batik for kids by Tahira

Chinese people may be ditching their Qi Pao dress, as Vietnamese do with their Ao Dai but saying that Indonesians love their batik is an understatement. Walk into any office on a Friday (or any other day for that matter) and you’ll see plenty of men and woman proudly wearing batik.

I love batik too, but I don’t know how to combine colours and prints very well and keep batik for decor pieces and kids clothing (remember this?). Colorful batiks are perfect for kids but it isn’t easy to find designs that combine the right amount of colour with modern cuts, which brings me to today’s find: Tahira’s line of children clothing.

They make the cutest brother and sister sets that I am dying to dress the kids with, even though I am sensing a little resistance from Elliott 🙂
